The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support to people with disability, their families and carers. It is jointly governed and funded by the Australian and participating states and territory governments
The NDIS plan
In order to receive funded supports from NDIS, you and/or the person you are wanting to refer needs to have an approved plan that includes such things as therapeutic support or specialist behavioural support/behaviour management. If you do not currently have a plan, you can contact NDIS directly on

Alternatively you can contact the Local Area Coordinator (LAC) who will assist you in the planning process. The list of Local Area Coordinators can be found by searching “local Area Coordinator NDIS” and including your area.
